€15,00
Handcrafted clay flute (flauta de barro) adorned with traditional animal relief carvings.
- Material & Structure: It is fashioned from unglazed terracotta/clay and functions as an end-blown duct flute (fipple flute).
- Decorative Motifs: The relief features a serpent winding around the tone holes along the upper body, transitioning down into a stylized horned goat or ram head near the base.
- Origin & Style: Instruments with this specific iconography are traditional folk art pieces produced by regional Spanish artisans (such as pottery lineages in Toledo) as well as Mexican artisan traditions. They are commonly signed by the maker on the reverse side. The cursive engraving reads "Sergio Pons".
